I woke up early, feeling excited for the day as i will be meeting Melissa and Ashley for Karaoke and Photoshooting session. Before i got ready Mel already reached my house, making me more nervous. I quickly got ready, and then Kong drove us to The Gardens.

We went to RedBox immediately as Mel was told that it was full, and the room will be released if we are not on time. And by the time we checked in, my stomach was growling. After ordering our food we went to the salad bar, true enough that it was very packed, most of the plates were already empty and we had limited choice. Both of us was playing with our DSLRs, listening to music and eating. Shortly after we started singing, Ashley arrived and we started to play around with our DSLRs again. The time passed quickly and the K session ended.

After walking out of RedBox, another session started which is the Photoshooting Session. We were walking around, stopped for shooting awhile and then looking for places for shooting again. Being girls, of cos there was breaks for shopping too. Geez!

Ashley and me together with our husbands,went to Kuchai Lama for Fish Head Noodle as dinner. After finishing dinner, we rushed home as Kong wanted to watch the F1 qualifying. And it marks the end of my enjoyable Saturday!

Learning Hard

Learning is good, as what chinese says “活到老，学到老”, meaning ‘live and learn till old’. All of us should never stop learning and improving. And in my opinion we should learn step by step, and improve with each steps. But there are always these small group of people, who tried too hard to learn by the fast way. In the end, they just failed totally. To me, i feel that good foundation is very important in everything. It’s just like when we are young, we all learn how to crawl and walk before we learn to run. If we run before we can walk steadily, the chances of falling is greater.

Now, owning a DSLR makes me wanting to learn more about photography. After taking photos for few days, i realised that i know nothing about DSLR. Up till now, i still cant adjust settings according to the environment. I guess i still have long way to go.

Big Surprise!

I got a big surprise from Kong. He surprised me with a Canon EOS 550D, which i had been longing for. Initially i was planning to buy it together with Mel Mel and Phang. We had been researching, calling up shops, asking for the price and the availability.

I got interested in DSLR after i played with Ashley’s, and so many people around me is having one. It makes me feel like having one too. At first, i had this mixed feeling of wanting one, but afraid that it might be a ’3 minutes heat’ . It doesnt cost just a few hundred dollars, but thousands. So, this ‘on and off’ want went on for few months.

Today, Kong gave it as a pressie for me. Our new baby, Canon EOS 550D! I was so so so so surprise, excited and touched! I was afraid that Kong will not support me when i was doing the planning to buy. As these few months we had spent alot of money, for the Taiwan trip and for Chinese New Year, and we are saving money for our Aussie trip this year end as well. And while i was planning about when and where to buy, Kong was there planning with his friends too. Damn! i was cheated by him and friends. I was feeding them with infos and news, and they went to buy it without bringing me along!

Kong bought it for me, cos he sees that i really want it and he want to make me happy. I should say that this is the very first time, he give me a surprise. Geez.. Mr Darling, Thank You !! Thanks for letting me have a chance to own a DSLR, i dont know if i could really keep my interest in photography long but i will keep trying! Love ya!
