Farewell, Uncle Sam!

Time has been passing quickly, Uncle Sam has been with us for the past 10 weeks. And today, it is time for him to return home, Australia – Canberra, to his family. His wife and sons are missing him, as we will also miss him when he goes back. We felt grateful towards Uncle Sam, all these while, he had been cooking great food for us and taking care of Grandma. Without him aorund, i think all of us will have a difficult time on settling Grandma down.

Today, we were all gathered at Grandma’s house, intending to cook a great set of food for Uncle Sam to enjoy before he goes back. But in the end, some of the food is prepare by him. As usual, Uncle Choe brings his best ‘Roasted Pork’, Uncle Sam cooked ‘Roast Salted Chicken’, Kong’s mom prepares ‘BBQ Stingray’, and Grandma charcoal boiled the best ‘Lotus Root Soup’.  Geez…  Now you know why i have put on so much weight these few months, I just cant resist those food!

That evening, we sent Uncle Sam to KLIA. We arrived early and the flight was delayed by an hour, so we went to KFC for drinks. And soon, it was time for Uncle Sam to go to the Gate for boarding. Grandma teared while waving good-bye to Uncle Sam, it was difficult to be parted once again.
